REPRIMAND. Pursuant to 193E Iowa Administrative Code section 18.14(1)(j), the Respondent is reprimanded.
On or about December 30, 2022, the Respondent submitted an application to the Commission for renewal of his Iowa real estate salesperson license. On the Application form, the Respondent answered that since the date of his last license application, he had been convicted of a serious misdemeanor, aggravated misdemeanor, or felony (or equivalent) criminal offense. The Commission may deny renewal of a real estate license based on an applicant’s conviction of a crime if an unreasonable risk to public safety exists because the offense directly relates to the duties and responsibilities of the profession. See Iowa Code § 272C.15(1); see also Iowa Code § 543B.29(1)(f).
